What is a Neuro-Structural shift?

What is a Neuro-Structural shift?

First of all, our spine is made up of 24 vertebra which is responsible for protection of our spinal cord. The spinal cord is a column of nerve fibers that are responsible for sending and receiving messages from the brain. It is through the spinal cord and its branching nerves that the brain influences the rest of the body, controlling movement and organ function.

When a section of the spine shifts out of alignment it puts pressure on your nerves exiting the spine. The pressure on the nerve root does not allow the signals from the brain to the body to communicate correctly. This means that your body is unable to function the way that it should if there was no misalignment. When you have a Neurostructural shift in your spine, you may experience some secondary conditions or symptoms from the pressure on the nerve.

Think about the game Jenga. The whole goal of the game is to figure out how to take the blocks out without the tower falling. The safest blocks to take out are the ones that still provide the tower with a stable foundation. When you first start taking out the blocks, it is stable for a while until you keep taking out more blocks and then the stack begins to sway and then falls over due to having an unstable foundation.

This stack of blocks is like your spine. When you have a Neuro-Structural shift in your spine, you will first start to see unstable foundation, degeneration at the discs and the longer it is left untouched, the faster it progresses to degeneration of the vertebra and the biggest thing of course is interference of your nervous system. That means that your health is being hindered by 90% before you are in pain.

Don’t let your health wait to get checked!
